Great game indeed, congratulations! Our Amiga Vault Team is specialized in the creation/conversion of Amiga games and programs in standard WHDLoad format with specific slave, custom splash screen, hybrid icon (OldIcon+NewIcon+ColorIcon) compatible with all AmigaOS, and readme file.
As we have done with some Amiga games released in recent months (Ami-H.E.R.O, Ami Robbo 2, Frank Brush, Ghosts 'n Goblins AGA, Hop To The Top, International Kopycat Plus, Kondi Krush, Metro Siege, Neon World, Pjusk, Soko-Ban, Spheroid, Trapped In The Tomb and Yoomp!) and as we will do for some games currently in development as soon as they are ready (Hyper Wings 2.21 HD, Soltys and Street Fighter), we just converted your game into WHDLoad format (look at attached pictures below:) and would like to share it with you so that, if you wish, you can include it as an additional version for the benefit of the Amiga community: what do you think of our proposal? It would be an honor and a pleasure for us to collaborate with you, if you like our idea you can contact us on facebook (user Amiga Vault) or by email (amigavault.contribution@gmail.com) if you prefer in order to define all the details.
I love all 4, I think the third is the most hated instead... the fourth is the favourite... IMHO.
I give value to things taking in mind the release date too and not just the game... the second will be forever my favourite, even if it wasn't my first RPG cause that was Shining in the Darkness (sooooo good), but PS2 caputered me... ah... maybe the SCI-FI was more interesting to me when I've tried it, who knows! :D
OMG! Shining in the darkeness, with it's "flip x" style attacks, was so awesome for its time. Shining Force was cool too. Final Fantasy 1 was maybe my all time NES favorite. I am really debating on creating an RPG using the Defold game engine, but I am not sure I want to invest that much time right this second as I work alone on everything. I am definitely looking forward to seeing you PS2 project running!
Hi man! Open to suggestions? I once reviewed games for EGM back in the day. So I'm a bit old, haha... But I always had a soft spot for this game. So would love to see an enhanced version. Lemme know I can throw out some ideas. hugs
Thank you so much! I'm still thinking about an enhanced version... I've already drawn an animation for Rolf attacking with knives like in PSIV but I think I'll stay simple for now, let's have the game first! :D
I'm badly looking for more info in the battle system... like mobs agility to decide the battle order or damage calculation, dodge rate, damage mitigation with armor... those kind of things, any suggestion on this would be what I'm looking for right now... at least the most! ;)
One way to improve upon the original is to complete the game, as some of it was left uncompleted because of deadlines. Have backgrounds during battles, instead of that awful blue grid. It was fixed later on in the PS2 Sega ages version, but would look cool on a retro game like this. Also, since Palma is destroyed I always thought it would be cool if we could visit it BEFORE it gets destroyed. Even if for just a little bit, to search a small part of it or something. That way the game won't feel like it was cutting corners. Which was one reason why they blew it up.haha... This way they only had to do two planets, etc. Just some thoughts.
I thought about a lot of possibile improvements like battle backgrounds, attacks like PSIV, combo with spells and a little more... but not the Palma thing, it's really interesting! As I said for now I try just to go far as possibile and listen to what we really want and what is really possible! :D
Few questions. Using the scorpion engine to program this? That's the rage these days.
Also, is this only for the purpose of making a demo? Or do you plan to take this all the way.
Yes, do Palma as a 'what-if' extended level. Doesn't have to be much. But it was always a bit of a letdown, and a cheat, that they simply blew up Palma just to cut corners and deliver a game within the limits of the deadlines and cartridge space.
If I were you, I'd borrow some elements from the Sega Ages version, maybe some of the cut scenes, to give this game a little more spectacle.
It started just with the intention of making a demo but it feel so good to have people enjoying what I'm doing that I want to do more... I haven't decided how much far I want to go, sure more the interest in my project grow the more I want to go far in this!
I've always imagined what a port of Sonic 1 for Amiga would have been like. I imagine it would have had a larger color palette compared to the Genesis version. Something similar to the SNES version that I will leave here as an example in a link, although without the stretched screen due to the low resolution that the SNES had and a higher resolution than the Genesis. Wow. What a great news ! JRPG is really the type of game Amiga library is lacking. Hope you'll finish it. I just started this game on the Megadrive last week but now I'll wait to play it on the Amiga. Keep up the good work and thank you very much for this great project !
I wish I could finish it, seriously, but it's very challenging cause the Scorpion Engine do not support features that I badly need (or I don't understand how it really works) in this kind of game... I don't think it's possible for me right now!
Already much better than the previous version. I also added it to my new "Gameplay of New Amiga Games from January 2025" video along with other recently released games. Hope you enjoy the video.
It looks just like Phantasy Star 2, I hope you continue and get more content for it. I added the game to my new "Gameplay of New Amiga Games from September 2024" video along with all other recently released Amiga games.

This was probably THE all-time favorite RPG. such a great game.
Totally agree!
Someone on youtube asked why I've choosed the worst one... Can you imagine It? 🤭
maybe they believe it to be Phantasy Star 3, which IS the worst in my opinion. Lol

For when Sonic The Hedgehog for Amiga?
PS2 is already a great challenge... Sonic... well... let's talk about it! :D

you can ask help to Earok or in the eab amiga forum. In the game factory section. You'll have plenty of proposal to help
Earok is helping a lot already! 😁
Good work on this!

and there will be so much more to improve... and already improved!
See you soon! :D
Really interesting to have a port of this game on Amiga.
Thank you so much!
Don't tell me what to do! TURNING VOLUME UP!

Nice game!
I don't know if I'll ever complete the game but I feel motivated to do more!
Thank you so much for the encouragement!
The game just keeps getting better and better!
Well as some sort of soulmate, I would say, yes you need to complete the game *haha*
it looks so cool....
Thank you so much, all the comments are so encouraging and so much appreciated!
Pity that you have no intention of completing it. This is something I would like to have spent some time with.
Good luck with future projects.
Nice game!
Thank you! 🖤

Wow thank you so much!
Sega Is not Happy with those kind of things but surely I will go further!
